It’s about that time when cucumbers are  coming on strong and it’s time to start pickling! YAY! Here is a super easy recipe that you will love for making tasty dill pickles! You will need–

4lbs of Cucumbers

3 Cups of White Vinegar

3 Cups of Water

1/3 Cup pickling salt

2 Tablespoons Dill seed for each jar

1/4 rounded tsp Pickling Crisp Granules –These are optional but will make your pickles crisp and keep them from getting soggy.

Wash your cucumbers and cut them however you would like, I chose spears because they are easy and fast.

Combine Vinegar, Water and Pickling Salt and bring to a boil

Pack cucumbers in jars and add dill seed and pickling crisp granules to each jar.

Pour vinegar mixture to top of jars leaving 1/2″ of head-space. Wipe the rims of the jars, place lids and rings on and process for 15 minutes in canner. Remember that the time starts when the water boils.

NOTE: I had a 5 gallon bucket of cucumbers and I multiplied the recipe by 5 in order to make enough. I ended up with 18 Quarts of cucumbers. I hope you are loving canning season as much as I am!
